Infrastructure measures SBB Zugersee Ost, structural work

The 15km long railway line from Zug to Arth-Goldau was rehabilitated in four sub-projects. The existing double track in front of Walchwil station was extended by 1.7km. The work comprised a total of 128 objects. In addition, dismantling of the railway infrastructure and creation of eleven access roads to the track with six installation sites were necessary.

The four sub-projects were carried out on two construction sites. Construction site A ran over a length of 8.65km from Zug railway station to the Sagenbachbrücke. Construction site B extended over a distance of 6.35km from the Sagenbachbrücke to Arth railway station.

The four sub-projects were:

2. substance preservation single-track tunnel

3. substance preservation of buildings and roadway Zug - Arth-Goldau

4. protective structures (Baltisberg and Härzigwald)

After one and a half years of construction, the project was completed to the fullest satisfaction of the client SBB AG.
