Engelberg slope viaduct

Engelberg, Switzerland / 03.2007 - 10.2008

Engelberg's slope viaduct sustained serious damage during the floods of 2005. Two years later, the interim repairs implemented after the floods were replaced by a new bridge construction. Now four new columns support the 75m-long road bridge with two 3.5m-wide traffic lanes and a 2.5m-wide footpath. The PORR team constructed an approximately 90m-long stone block wall to stabilise the slope. The final stage of this successful restoration project consisted of concreting works.
