The Frauenfeld military training area is one of the most important military training areas in the Armed Forces. The Auenfeld barracks on the Frauenfeld military training area will be completely renovated and expanded in several stages. PORR is planning and realizing eight new buildings and the surrounding outdoor facilities. PORR's construction process is divided into three construction fields.
West construction site.
- One engineering, test and training building (AK)
- Three training halls (AD, AF, AG)
- One FATRAN building (FA,- a training hall for driver training)
North construction site.
- One accommodation building (UE)

- An armament building (RV) - primarily serves to handle goods for deployment and training material on the barracks grounds

With regard to the energy standard to be achieved, the Minergie specifications are implemented for the AK, FA, WH, RV buildings and the Minergie ECO label specifications for the UE building.
