Within 25 months, an ensemble of four apartment buildings with 129 flats was built on the outskirts of Zurich.
The houses form a settlement area parallel to the slope, which opens up to the wooded stream Hüslibach in the south. The architecture operates with a conscious optical separation of the attic floors from the standard floors. As a result, the houses appear lower.
Four rows of buildings of different lengths, parallel to the slope, fit into the settlement structure with a projecting and receding facade structure. Between the rows of houses, a generous outdoor space with a semi-public character is created, which expands into the green space to the south.
