Aabachtal viaduct

Lenzburg, Switzerland / 04.2010 - 11.2012

During the period from 2010 to 2012, renovation works were carried out on the Aabachtal viaduct, which is one of the most heavily-used motorway bridges in Switzerland: around 80,000 vehicles per day travel the national route N1 between Zurich and Bern.

Foundation for the future.

In the course of the restoration and surface renovation, the road surfaces were widened by the addition of a hard shoulder. Panels in the median strip were replaced by a barrier. With this widening work, the viaduct is ready for a possible upgrade to six lanes in the coming years.

What ultimately counts in the construction business is successfully completed projects. PORR has many of these.
